Welcome to the official blog for e.i.Lifestyle Photography, short for “Effervescent Images: Lifestyle Photography.” And in case it crossed your mind, I know that the name starts with lowercase letters, and no spaces.

My name is David Gary, I am aspiring photographer with a wonderful wife and daughter who fuel me with a strong sense of being and purpose. They tend to get stuck being my models, as I hone my skills and continually improve. I take Lifestyle photography, which is a broad term for many different genres of photography, including: individual/group/family portraiture, event, (including weddings) and fashion photography. I enjoy taking abstract artsy pictures too, playing with unusual perspective and lighting, in order to make simple things appear different, and unfamiliar. As I become more seasoned and get commissioned to work, I plan to specialize in portraiture and fashion photography.

Other than photography I love singing. I currently sing tenor with the Sacramento Opera Chorus in CA. We have recently finished singing the Mozart: Requiem, and are now moving on to Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony “Choral.” I am very excited, and just wish that I could take pictures, but unfortunately, I can’t sing on stage and snap pictures at the same time.
